Field trips have always been a way to connect children with outdoors and agriculture, however, we realize not every child experiences these days in the same way. Those with physical, mental, social and developmental differences can often feel overwhelmed rather than excited. Wickham Farms has dedicated Thursdays in the fall just for EC students – A Day of Acceptance, Kindness and Inclusion.

It is a slower, less structured experience designed specifically around the needs of these students. The typical experience begins with a warm welcome, a wagon ride, and a snack (donut and apple juice box). Each student will also be able to take home a pie pumpkin with them. Students and staff are encouraged to stay at the farm as long as they want to enjoy all the activities we offer.
