Information for high school and college students:
- A lot of students ask about working at Wickham Farms in the summer. Bear in mind that October is our busiest month!
We usually hire in July for people to work August through October. Our biggest consideration – after your experience
and personality – is your availability to work after school and weekends in October. Employees who do a good job at
that time of year are invited to return the following spring and summer. As a result, we rarely have openings for
applicants who are only available to work in the summer.
- Our minimum age for employees is usually 16, but we occasionally have work for students who are 14-15 years old. If
you are younger than 16 and would like to complete an application, feel free to do so.

Information for adults:
We often have seasonal openings for adults who can work in the following capacities:
- Counter help: This includes cooking, serving customers, cleaning and so on. You must be able to work on your feet
for six hours at a time, and lift up to 25 pounds. Our greatest need is people who are available to work during the
school day in September and October.
- Field trip coordinators (October only): We give preference to people with teaching experience, but any adult who has
an outgoing personality and enjoys working with children is welcome to apply.
- CSA field work: If you like working outside, we may have openings working in the field, doing such tasks as planting,
weeding and picking vegetables. This is physical work, so please apply only if you’re up to such tasks.
